2022 Toronto Gift + Home Market

Updated: Mar 4, 2023

Since my career transition from retail marketing to wholesale marketing in 2021, I have developed a fresh perspective on marketing in the North American market, particularly in the context of the pandemic and its impact. The Canada Giftshow of this year has also undergone significant changes, with a considerable difference in the size of the venue compared to previous years. Nevertheless, we remain optimistic and focused on the positive aspects.

Canada's Largest Gift Show

“Canada Gift & Home Markets are The Biggest & Longest Running Events in the Industry. Since 1976 we have been bringing buyers and sellers together with style.

The Canada Gift & Home Markets are anchored by the Industry’s National Show based in Toronto as well as a mix of premier Regional Shows located in Ontario & Alberta, setting the standard to which other shows strive to achieve.”

After a 2.5-year hiatus, we were thrilled to participate in the CanGift Toronto Gift + Home Market show, held from August 7-10, 2022. This yearly trade show has always provided an excellent platform to showcase new products and connect with customers. For many suppliers without large showrooms, it presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase their products and brand image. Of course, the most critical aspect is establishing relationships and networking with clients.

The Canada Gift Show takes place twice a year, at the end of January and the end of August, each with a different focus. Both events are held at The Toronto Congress Centre, and Alberta also hosts one annually. This year, my company primarily specializes in greenhouse products and decoration setup, which complement each other perfectly.

"Retailers come to get inspired, get informed & be entertained and most importantly to take advantage of great new products and deals from the industry's most trusted exhibitors." Undeniably, information available online can be complex, and often, retailers may not fully understand or sense whether a product is suitable for their market target through online product descriptions alone. At the gift show, they can see and touch products, and experience the atmosphere of a store through collection setups.
